U-3PO can be seen at the beginning of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope walking through the passageways of the besieged rebel blockade runner, Tantive IV. Hasbro initially released this Build A Droid figure as a solid silver droid, more closely resembling E-3PO seen in Bespin in Empire Strikes Back. Hasbro was quickly checked by LucasFilm however and made to change the color to the more screen accurate champagne color. The two versions are somewhat difficult to differentiate to the untrained eye unless they are held side by side.
