Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp was one of the most famous peace officers of the American West. He started in 1879 in the booming silver camp of Tombstone, Arizona. After that he became a Deputy Sheriff of Pima County. He later served as a Deputy U.S. Marshal. Wyatt Earp was born in Monmouth, Illinois and was raised in Iowa. Known as a fair and courageous law officer, he was acknowledged as one of the finest fast draw artists of the Old West.
