Mantenna was one of the Hordesmen during the last battle against King Grayskull and ended trapped in the dimension of Despondos, where he helped conquer planet Etheria. He also was part of the first crew of Hordesmen who returned to Eternia alongside Hordak.

Hordak mistreats Mantenna, frequently dropping him through a trapdoor due to any failure, even if it isn't Mantenna's fault.
