D-O is a droid previously owned by the Sith assassin Ochi of Bestoon. He was created by an unnamed droidsmith, who was killed by Ochi. He was left deactivated aboard Ochi's ship when Ochi perished in quicksand on Pasaana. D-O was later reactivated by BB-8, and brought along to Kijimi, where he was further repaired by Rey.
