PERSONAL HISTORY:
DUKE is highly experience in the unique challenges of sub-zero conditions from his missions in the Siberian tundra and Antarctic biomes. This made him the optimal choice for a mission to disable COBRA base hidden in the Arctic. He traveled from the rendevous site on thruster-powered skis that provided speed and maneuverability, both of which he needed when he suddenly encountered a COBRA B.A.T. patrol. During the ensuing chase, the robots forced DUKE to leap into a deep crevasse, but the resourceful commander used his grapple pick to stop his fall and climb out of the treacherous void. He secretly followed the robots back to the base and decommission the building with a blast from his dual-missile launcher.
