Animal Instincts Custom Contest
Let's take a trip to the Zoo! However, this Zoo won't have ordinary animals, but rather extraordinary animal based individuals.

The challenge will be to create a custom of a character who is based on a member of the animal kingdom from the real world: mammals, fish, sea creatures, birds, reptiles, amphibians, dinosaurs, bugs, slugs, etc.

Here are a few guidelines that can help in choosing what can be entered.

#1. Those that have an animal mentioned in their name:
- Lion-O, Wolverine, Batman, Spider-man, Cheetah, Mole Man, Hawkman, Bugs Bunny

#2. Part of their body or outfit is animal-like:
- Donatello, Panthro, Motaro, Starro, Medusa, Tigra, Creature From The Black Lagoon

#3. Have powers or abilities that are based on animals:
- Tarzan, Vixen, Wolfsbane, Jayna of the Wonder Twins, Beast, Beast Boy, Dinobots

There is no size restriction for any figure entry. Original characters are allowed as long as they are based on an animal in name, look, or abilities.

While visiting the Zoo, enjoy viewing them but remember, please do not feed the animals.

Please remember to follow the Contest Rules and to Vote Fairly.

I got a question, I am pretty new to the realm and I want to participate in this contest as my first contest I have entered in, so my question is why isn't the customs viewable? Why is there a picture of batman with question mark? and when will the customs be viewable by other customizers? Sorry for asking too many questions.

ToyBoy_customs, Welcome to Figure Realm! Feel free to ask any questions so that you can know more about how it all works in this great creative community!

You may submit your entry from now till the deadline (on Nov 15)

The customs are not yet viewable until the day this contest starts (on Nov 16), only the written description will be viewable in the meantime.

The identity of the customizer will not be revealed until after the contest is over when the voting period is done (on Nov 23) Also on that day, all the customs will be shown in the order of highest to lowest scores.

When you submit a custom for a contest just make sure to SELECT WHICH CONTEST it's for in the top line, otherwise it will appear in the showcase home page listed under newest customs and will not end up in the contest. Have fun with your first entry and good luck!

Well, thanks suprasizeme. I've enjoyed entering a lot of contests with various themes. I thought that another way for me to be creative was to think of a contest theme that would make sense for all Figure Realmers to participate in. There are lots of animal based characters out there.

What about animals in Mech suits?

Animals in mech suits are okay, they are still animals. So for example, Iron Man is not an acceptable entry, but Iron Mickey (Mickey Mouse in Iron Man suit) would be allowed.

Will chatacters such as Batman and Black Widow be allowed for this contest, since they have an animal in their names??

Yes, Batman is one of the examples listed under guideline #1. For Black Widow, I say yes also as she sometimes would swing or hang like a spider in the comics. Also, past versions of her costume used to have a black spider symbol on her back. So she can definitely count as an animal inspired character too.

Customs of werewolves don't have to be in their animal form but you can write in your character description that he/she is a werewolf, just to show that there's a beastial side to them.
