Superior means: hero that begins to behave as a villain?

Hero or villian that is now in someway superior to what they used to be. So like Thanos. He was formidable when he fought the Avengers but when he had the Infinity Gauntlet he was superior to his former self. Make sense?

Somewhere down the line something happened to these heroes or villians that made them stronger, faster, smarter, just better than they were. You get to make them superior in your own way. You can submit stories as to how they are now superior.

Well sort of. It would be better if you made a Super Saiyan version of Goku that no one has sseen. Like interpret your own version of Super Saiyan Goku. Or, make like an even stronger version of Super Saiyan Goku, like Super Saiyan 8 Goku or something.

I'm also using an anime character so maybe my two cents might help; I'd think the distinguishing factor is less of a transformation and more of a permanent enhancement. So, Super Saiyan is more temporary while Majin is more permanent (or at least long term), so more of a "Superior" mode. Also, Buu absorbing people is more temporary but Super and Kid Buu are more like "Superior" forms. Piccolo is good example; while he doesn't have a Super mode, when he merges with someone else, the change is permanent, so Piccolami would be a good "Superior" if there were visual differences (the permanent power shift is what you'd look for in a Superior character is what I'm trying to say). Cell might be the best example, since he gets both strength increase AND a makeover between Imperfect and Perfect forms (even though it does happen quickly, especially for DBZ).

Also, since Spiderman is the main "Superior," I'll compare it this way: Super Saiyan Goku is to Symbiote Spidey as Majin Vegeta is to Superior Spidey (disregarding the free will of the Symbiote; just the enhancements)

I think the main idea for this contest is to SEE all the differences in power than for the character to just be stronger and look slightly different (so even Majin Vegeta doesn't look too different from Vegeta, though Buu and his Super/Kid forms as well as Cell DO have a big appearance difference)

other notable anime examples:
Ichigo -> Fullbring (Bleach; contrast to Ichigo -> Bankai or even Ichigo -> Soul Reaper)
Imperialdramon -> Fighter/Paladin mode (Digimon; contrast to Imperialdramon Dragon mode; despite this change being temporary, all Digivolutions are temporary but this is a large change in power and design, plus this is a good example: a change like a Digivolution probably wouldn't qualify but a new VERSION of a Digivolution would, same case for Gallantmon -> Gallantmon Crimson mode contrasted to Guilmon -> Gallantmon)
Homura -> Devil (Madoka Magica; contrast to Homura -> Magical Girl)
Creed -> Imagine Blade fusion (Black Cat; contrast to Creed -> Imagine Blade 1; Eve may also be an example with Eve -> Angel contrasted to Eve -> Nanomachines, while it doesn't inherently give her more power, it greatly increases her options in combat and has a great visual difference, but it'd be stretching it to call it "Superior" due to the fact she technically COULD have done it earlier but lacked experience and ingenuity)
Ryuko -> Kisaragi (Kill la Kill; while she doesn't hold the form for long, the change wouldve been a permanent enhancement to her Synchronization had she retained that ability; contrast to Ryuko -> Senketsu)

Jessica Jones after give up to the Avengers can be considered superior? It's because she can prove that she can do it herself

Or a armoed Wolverine? When James lost his healting factor he have to use an armor and refine his combat skills. At last he demonstrated not need powers to prove he's the best at what you do

Let me give you a checklist:
[ ] Enhanced Abilities
[ ] New Abilities
[ ] New Personality Traits OR Exaggerated Personality (IE: character is now MORE brave/cunning/benevolent/sadistic/etc than they used to be)
[ ] New Appearance
[ ] Backstory of How They Became Superior

Almost like they're a different character (in Spiderman's case, he WAS a different character). Basically, Superior Someone can kick Regular Someone's butt without breaking a sweat. If they're just a little better, it's a no-go

If that was to me, I mean like an already canon character that has all the abilities of the original version but also extra/enhanced abilities, but isn't referred to as "Superior"

Can it be an existing form that is essentially "superior" but isn't called "superior"?
