Alienated Anatomy Custom Contest
The one thing that 99% of customs have in common is basic human anatomy. Everything has a head, two arms and two legs. The challenge of this contest is to get away from that. All entries for this contest must have inhuman anatomy. Aliens (Starro's, Metroids, Greys, Brood), mythical hybrids (mermaids, minotaur, satyr, centaur) and anatomical mutations (Angel, Gorgon, Beak) are all valid entries.

-Animals are considered fair game for this contest. The only restriction is that they must be the focus of the contest entry. Entering Lockjaw, Battle Cat or Krypto into the contest is perfectly fine, however entering Tally Hawk and calling Quicksilver one of his accessories is not.

-Mechanical augmentations are not valid entries for this contest. The non human anatomy must be biological in nature. So people like Dr. Octopus, Coat of Arms, Cable, etc. are not allowed.

-As always there are no size restrictions for this contest. You may use any sort of materials, parts, tools or techniques that you wish. Whatever gets the job done.

Please remember to follow the Contest Rules and to Vote Fairly.

Hi. Does the figure have to be an actual character? Or can it be, for example, just a random horse or something?

If I'm understanding the rules correctly, no mechanical entities are allowed, only organic ones? I couldn't, for example, make Transformers G1 Laserbeak or Ramhorn, even though both their robotic forms (condor and rhino, respectively) and alternate forms (cassettes) are both non-humanoid?

Or does the prohibition on "mechanical augmentations" only apply to a cyborg-type situation like the Dr. Octopus example you gave?

Correct that is aimed at instances like Dr. Octopus. Mechanical entities like Transformers are allowed.

Would a 'bio-mechanical' being be acceptable, ie: something in the vein of an H.R. Giger creation-along the lines of the "Alien" or the Eve from "Hybrid", but not exactly that?

That would be allowed yes.

I assume by "spikes: no", you mean it couldn't be a human with just spikes, not that spikes are not allowed at all?
