Here is my Super Powers Captain Cold, based on his first appearance in the Sliver Age of the 1950s, hence the reason his hood and gun holster are solid white. I used the legs of The Flash, the torso of Bruce Wayne from World of Batman, Bob The Goon's upper arms, a random Super Powers figure's lower arms, and a Super Powers Lex Luthor head. I built up the legs with Epoxy. The legs are not posable, but I wanted them to retain the look of other Super Powers figures so I did not fill in the joints. I added epoxy to fashion the hood and the fluff on the costume. I built the visor, belt, and gun holster from styrene plastic. I scratch built the gun using a random gun base, epoxy, styrene plastic, and a small piece from a Tinker Toys set. This is a close replica to the one seen in the Silver Age Flash comic books. I made this a long time ago, but it had aged badly. The white had turned yellowish, and I was unhappy with some of the sculpt. I just completed a revamp of this old custom. I cut off his gun arm just above the glove and repositioned it so that it would clear the gun holster. I redid all of the fluff on the hood, gloves, and boots with sculpy to give it life. I bulked up the skinny boots with sculpy as well. I also sculpted the icicles to the upper torso and shoulders as opposed to just painting them on like I had done before. He then got a complete repaint except for the belt and face. I am extremely happy with this figure now, and he fits right in with the rest of the line!
