More Nightbreed, the overlooked fantasy/horror film by Clive Barker. This time, I have a custom figure of Lori Winston played by actress Anne Bobby. She is the heroine of the film, Boone's girlfriend who will stop at nothing to reunite with him after his "death". I used parts from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, including the legs from Willow, the torso and arms from Gloria, and the head of Cordelia. Inspiration came while I was searching Ebay and found the Cordelia head for sale for a few dollars. I realized that it was perfect for Lori and bought it! I sculpted bangs to her head for screen accuracy. The Gloria figure had bizarre long arms, so they had to be shortened and sleeves added to the lower arms. I sculpted the front of the blouse where it buttons, as well as around the waste for a better appearance of it being tucked in. I sculpted the boots and socks on the legs as well. I added a strip of styrene plastic for her belt, then painted the figure head to toe. To make the black dots on the shirt, I used a paint pen. I had to redo it a few times to get it right. I watched the film carefully to get Lori's makeup, eyes, and eyebrows just right. A man, or monster in this case, has got to have his girl!! I posted a screenshot for comparison.
