Clive Barker's Nightbreed has been a favorite movie of mine for many years, so I have a real passion for making custom figures of it. Today I present Kushnir Day, also called Drummer. He is one of the many Breed who inhabit Midian. He is always beating out tribal rythms with his hands on any wall or surface available to him. He is silent, never speaking a word. He is the first monster that Lori encounters as she journeys through Midian to find Boone. To make Drummer, I yet again used a Spike figure from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The bare feet are from an Angel figure of the same line, and the hands come from a Marvel Legends Professor X. I used sculpy to cover up a few bad spots where plastic detail had to be removed, as well as to make the rolled up shirt sleeves. I added necklaces and some chains for accessories. The head was completely reworked. I sculpted the face, adding creases and details, as well as the large lips and the tusks. His hair was from a Marvel Legends Hope Summers figure, with some extra sculpting on the front and sides. I have included a screenshot from the film for comparison.
