The base figure is a marvel legends Netflix Daredevil Season 2 Elektra. The loin cloth and sais are from the recent Hasbro Marvel Legends comic style Elektra. The hair is from the Claire Temple marvel legend from the Netflix Luke Cage two pack.

For the head I heated up some water in a glass mug then placed the Elektra head and Claire head in the mug. I let them sit for about five minutes until the plastic for the hair got soft. I took out one head and slowly peeled the hair from the base of the head. Then I did the same for the other head. The hair peeled off pretty easily, so no Exact-O knives necessary. I used a dremel to sand down the notches on the inside of the Claire Temple hair. Then I super glued the hair on to Elektra's head.

For the body, I took the base figure and heated up the shoulder, forearm, midsection, and knee joints with a heat gun. After the joints were soft I pulled the pieces apart. I used the sanding bit of my dremel to sand down the joint areas and the sockets they fit into without messing up the pegs or the holes. I used masking tape to tape off where I wanted the lines of the paint to end. I used Citadel model paint to color the red parts.

After a few coats and letting the paint dry, I popped the joints back together. For the knees I put them back into the leg slits after removing the pegs. Then I pushed the pegs through and used pliers to squeeze them back into place securely. I reassembled the figure doing the midsection last. Before I reattached the midsection I added the loin cloth. It wasn't a perfect fit at first, so I used the heat gun to soften it up and that allowed me to slide the loin cloth further down to where I wanted it. I let it cool and harden. Then I reattached the midsection. Then I took the figure outside and sprayed it with a coat of Testors matte Lacquer. I let that dry for a few hours. Then I put the head on, gave her the sais, and I was finished.

I was waiting, hoping and praying for so effin long for Hasbro to make a Marvel Legends Netflix Defenders red costume Elektra. I had hope for a while because I figured if they can make a Claire Temple figure, and a Colleen Wing figure, and a jacketless variant of Jessica Jones, they will definitely make the correct Elektra in the long run. But after recent news of the Netflix series not being canon in the MCU anymore, I thought well now Hasbro is definitely not gonna make her. So I decided it was time to make my own. I looked at reference pictures of Elektra from the show, then looked at what other figures I could use to make her. The only difficult part was I knew I definitely wanted her to have the long flowing hair like in the show but wasn't sure how to do it. I thought I would have to sculpt it at first. But after taking a long hard look at my Claire Temple figure, I thought maybe I could just use her whole head. But she has a smiling expression and thats not how I see my Elektra. And I really like the Elodie Yung head sculpt. Then I realized the hair was just glued on. And the rest is history.

Elektra isn't my all time favorite character, but I do respect and love her as part of the five main Marvel Knights. And I mostly only collect the live action action figures. I've been wanting a proper live action red costume Elektra figure for a loooong time to complete my live action Marvel Knights collection. Having finally decided to make one, it turned out much better than I thought it would. I can't wait to redo the figure with better paint. So far I'm loving what I'm seeing. I hope you all enjoy it too. And to anyone who might've been looking for a great way to make this one, you're welcome. lol
