JL Batfleck was way too dark so all he needed was some gray dry brush to bring out the texture of the sculpt. Replaced the awful cape with my own style. I was going for a more “Dawn of Justice” vibe so I made the scallops in the cape straight edges which were then tattered and dirtied. For a $20 Bootleg I was quite impressed! Made for an easy custom!

Hi. I just came across this. It looks so cool. I wanna try this too but I don't wanna do it on the original. I have a question. The bootlegs I kept seeing seemed a little short especially in the waist. How did you correct yours? Did you simply used another peg

Excellent makeover! How did you tighten the joints? The joints on a lot of these Mafex bootlegs seem really flimsy.

Pledge Floor Care! Put a drop in each joint and move it around for a couple minutes until it’s dry and it helps a LOT.

There really are some pretty decent bootlegs out there. A bit of tlc, and you can make something awesome. As you did here. Nicely done
