A ways back, I did a handful of figures that were meant to be Batman characters designed as if there were in a Christopher Nolan movie-I.e. more realistic and real world grounded. Namely I was trying to make the characters look more like how they would if they existed in 'our world'. I had a fun time with and it and I have been dying to try some out again. For this round, I decided to do the Bat family, in this case, with Robin here. Original figure was a GI Joe movie Duke. I decided to keep the original Duke head-sure this is Robin, but in a real world, all the Robins wouldn't look like copies of each other so the facial hair and head made him more like a real, variety type character. I kept the original figure clothes and armor, but did tweak them a bit with repainted and sewing the clothes a tad-the idea was more tactical than spandex. The head itself was also repainted, namely for the mask and hair (I did decide to make his hair black to fit the Bat family better). Bo staff was from the fodder bin and the birdarangs were 3D printed and then painted. Figure features: -Custom design -1/6 scale -Custom paint job -18 points of movement -Sealed to help protect paint -Removeable cloth clothing and rubber armor -2 Birdarangs -Bo staff weapon ![]() |
