So, apparently the Fleet Troopers were always male. I don't know if there was a female at some point and they just didn't release figures for it, or if it just never existed. Either way, I was recently commissioned to fix up a female rendition, and to make it on the Star Wars build. A body type I'm not really used to working on.
So, I did some hunting at first, trying to find a decent body to build on. Thankfully, with the new figures hitting the stores, the new Rey ended up being perfect. Right size, and there was actually some articulation to work with. Removed the skirt and the top sections of the robes(?) off the torso. Sculpted up the shirt, jacket, belt, and sleeves. Filled in some spots on the pants, and sculpted on the boots. Cut down the head a bit, sculpted on the chin strap, and glued the helmet from the classic Fleet Trooper in place. Full repaint, topped off with the Fleet Trooper blaster, and done!
