Spider-Man 2099 (Comic Paint) (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:104071
Name:Spider-Man 2099 (Comic Paint)
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:fnwebslinger
Date Added:February 9, 2020
Base Figure:Superior Octopus
Height:6.00 inches
When I saw the new Marvel Legends Superior Octopus rocking a balljointed torso (which works better than an ab crunch), I just knew I had to make this guy. Used Lasher's head, Hobgoblin wave 2099's hands and arm spikes, and the old ToyBiz SMC Spider-Man 2099's cape.

Man, this is incredible! Genius move lining the emblem across the shoulder piece above the butterfly joint. Completely flawless! Best Spidey 2099 I've seen

Thank you so much! Re: the red lining - I saw it as an opportunity to keep the lines straight AND prevent the pattern from looking disjointed/broken when I move the butterfly joints.

Thank you so much! I just had to do something about the fact that no toy company has really done this guy justice yet.

Agreed, it does! Might actually make more using this base body.

Do you think it would make a good Peter Parker Spider-Man?

Yup, I think so. The Spidey in the upcoming vintage line has even better torso articulation though (balljoint + ab crunch), so you might want to wait for that instead if you're looking for a classic Spidey.

Do you think it would be possible to give that new Peter Parker Spiderman figure; that’s coming out soon, a waste swivel without it looking horrible?

yours is by far the best looking 2099 compared to the officially licensed.

Impressive paints!
I'm a fan of the metallic blue on Miguel here but your layers have that cell shading look I appreciate cuz that's a lot of work!👏👏

Thanks! Yes, I wanted to make the MAFEX and ML customs as different from each other as possible (and I figured a comic-style Miguel would look interesting).
