I began this project with a Wind Waker Link Nendoroid action figure as a base. I used a Dremel to file down the back of his hat, his ears and the belt of of his tunic. This particular figure has removable limbs and extremities, so I was able to separate them and work on them individually. Using Apoxy Sculpt, I sculpted Ashley's bangs, and dress. I used foil and masking tape to form her pigtails around a wire and covered them with Apoxy Sculpt. I then drilled two holes into her head so the wire could be inserted and her pigtails could move. I sculpted her brooch and tiara with more Apoxy and let everything dry overnight. I used white spray primer and primer paint and then painted in her colors and details. She can stand on her own and is to scale with the Jakks World of Nintendo toy line! She fits perfectly into my Wario collection.
