You hear about artists who look at a brick of marble or clay and instantly can see the finished sculpture inside. I think the same goes for customs. Sometimes you just immediately know exactly what custom it's perfect for.

With that out of the way, I give you Janice Voorhees, the female version of Jason. Rule63 Jason, if you will.
The design is inspired by the Bishoujo horror figurine series and the art of one Wardog-Zero on Deviantart.

I wanted a Janice that while powerful still preserved the the female shape and form. Quite luckily the sculptors of the latest ML SheHulk refrained from making her body too mannish, resulting in a muscular yet clearly feminine base. Add a few parts from several figures and Voila! A deadly female Jason in the same scale as Neca's Jason Line.

Janice in many ways represents my latest and best work to date, particularly in the paint apps. As some may know I've been asking about airbrushing kits, and while I've received excellent advice I lack the funds to buy the better sets. What you see here is my latest advances in adding tone and definition with my brush paints, using the look of airbrushing as inspiration. In some ways the final result looks like a combination of cell shading and airbrushing in appearance.

I spared no effort on this piece, adding not only definition, but nailing the small details like boot laces, the frayed edges of the pants, blood splatter and mud on her boots. The blood splatter was done by dipping a small brush in Citadel's Blood for the Blood God, then blowing it onto the figure to create a blood spray.

I can only imagine what I'll be able to do one I get an airbrush. :)
