I cut off Boom Boom's Accessories, and repainted her. I took the head off of the "into the spider-verse" Spider Gwen toy, increased the size of the hood with apoxie sculpt, and re-sculpted it (used most of the original hood for it, and put some hot glue on the inside of the hood, to make the hood cover less of the face.

I accidently over primed the figure, which is why some of the paint is not smooth. I've worked hard at repainting and peeling off paint over and over to try to smooth it out. Still have a bit to go!

The webs aren't great because I still lack a good paint brush for thin lines. I instead hot glued a piece of metal wire to a chopstick for my main tool for small details (including eyes). If anyone has some links for some good small detail brushes, send them.

What type of paint are you using? It looks very thick and splotchy.

I over primed it using army painter white on top and black on the bottom. I scraped as much as I could off, then my vallejo white paint had a hard time covering in a single coat. It was a lot worse! I've been scratching off paint and repainting with thinned white paint. It's helped a lot, but the arms and back are still pretty bad.

If you need to start over you can use acetone to remove the paint. Much easier than scraping.

Thanks, I actually did try to get paint remover. I didn't know which kind to get. What I got, didn't work at all.

Try Acetone specifically. That's not a brand, it's the type of remover. I use the Klean Strip brand acetone myself. Its for thinning resins, epoxy and adhesives. It takes paint off of figures, I use it myself. You'll need Q-Tips as well. It's not a quick process. You'll dip the Qtip into the acetone, then rub it on the paint. The acetone will thin the paint and remove some of it. Once one end of the Qtip is covered in paint, switch to the other end. Use a new Qtip after both ends are covered. Try that out. You can find acetone at hardware stores.
