My very first toybiz figure was this one: Treebeard. I got my hands on him for low price on ebay. A must-have at first sight. BUT he was way to small in comparison with the 6 inch figures... Here on figurerealm someone made a custom with larger legs and a better beard than the plastic one. I cannot find the post anymore, so alas, no clue who was my inspiration. What I did was making four cuts: both upper- en lower legs. I placed in a big screw through a winecork as leg extension. After that, it was filling up the legs and scuplting treebark over it. I added real moss (the beard) and plastic foliage and train modelling natural pieces. And did a repaint. The arm broke of, so I had to repair that along the way. Old toys they remain to be. It has light-up eyes and a moving mustache when speaking its lines in the movie correct voice. 'Burarum!' 'Don't be hasty'. 'I told Gandalf I would keep you save and save is where I'l keep you!' 'Treebeard some call me'. Fantastic figure. And very intimidating now with the extra length. Enjoy this figure! ![]() |
