In the original She-Ra toy series Clawdeen is Catra's steed - the equivalent of He Man's Battle Cat. And I guess to hawk said toy Clawdeen also had a throwaway appearance in an episode of the cartoon. Halfway through making my Catra Mini Statue I stumbled upon the auction for the Twisted Land of Oz Lion and realized it would be a perfect companion piece as a custom Clawdeen to my Catra. Ended up paying a pretty penny for it as outside Forbidden Planet shops some McFarlane series don't seem to get very wide distribution in the UK but had such a clear vision for it that I just had to have it. I was surprised by how much Apoxie Sculpt the figure ate what with filling the various cuts and scars present in the figure not to mention most of his stomach was a huge gaping wound out of which his intestines were spewing. Beyond that the only other sculpting was in adding a Horde symbol to the belt buckle and as it was the last Horde symbol I sculpted all the practice paid off and it is the one I am most pleased with. Painted pink with Citadel paints. I got a huge kick out of paiting a McFarlane figure bright pink as it just seems to fly completely in the face of the McFarlane aesthetic. Anyhow, probably the meanest looking pink lion you'll ever see. I lucked out with Clawdeen's chain leash as it came from part of an animal trap that came with the figure.
