This was always a project that I wanted to do, but never had time or had other things I had to do. When I was a kid I had a purple generic Halloween spider to use for this monster when I played with my Godzilla figures. It was the best thing I had for this spider kaiju. Fast-forward to adulthood, I discovered that actual figures were created for this monster but they tended to be expensive or nearly impossible to find or both. It was my son's idea to start the project one night and I said, "Sure, why not?"

I took a black Halloween spider that was just a few dollars and then used beads for the eyes. I simply cut them in half and super-glued them in place. I then drilled holes and placed toothpicks in for his mandibles. I dry brushed his yellow markings and that was it. It was one of my faster builds, and although not perfect, it is more accurate than some of the true figures made of this guy and is definitely better than the purple spider I had as a kid.
