So, since I had already tackled one of my favorite alternate versions of Superman...the Earth-2 Superman, I decided that I should take a stab at his wife, Lois Lane Kent, since every Superman needs his Lois.

The figure was a pretty simple custom to do. I took a DC Direct Silver Age Superman and Lois Lane Boxset Lois Lane and used the boil and pop method to remove her existing head with the pillbox hat. Next, I took an extra DC Direct Silver Age Series 1 Super Lois Lane head from the fodder box, and used the boil and pop method to remove the ball joint post from inside the head. With the ball joint post now removed, I used my Dremel to hollow out the inside of the head and also to sand down the existing post on the Silver Age Lois Lane body into a post. Next, I mixed up a small batch of Milliput and jammed it into the newly formed cavity inside the head, and, while the Milliput was still soft, I jammed the cylindrical post attached to the neck of the Lois Lane figure into the Milliput to create a small hole in the center of the head cavity and let it dry. Once the Milliput inside the head was dry, I commenced a full repaint on the hair with Testors Model Masters Dark Gray, followed by two generous coats of Flat Clear (this was done to more closely match the visual of Lois Lane Kent from Crisis on Infinite Earths). Once the paint and Flat Clear on the hair had dried, I did a slight tweak of the notepad in Lois' left hand (the original figure's notepad had the sentence "Is Clark Kent Superman?" written on it, which the Earth-2 version of Lois, now married to Clark, already knew...since this was not necessary, I used a Q-Tip with dipped in a little brush and roller cleaner to strip off the sentence, and then repainted the face of of the notepad with two coats of Testors Model Master Cadmium Yellow, followed by two generous coats of Flat Clear). Lastly, I glued the head in place atop the neck post, and TA-DA...the Earth-2 Lois Lane Kent!!!!
