Custom #: | 108527 | Name: | Mvc2 venom | Custom Type: | Action Figure | Toy Series: | Marvel vs Capcom | Creator: | elACO | Date Added: | December 28, 2020 | Base Figure: | Venom movie marvel legends and bucky cap | Height: | 7.50 inches | Completion Time: | 40.00 hours | Articulation: | 32 points | Critiques: | Requested! |
I first started by sanding the figure with 120 grit sandpaper and then going with more like 400 and so on until the figure was smooth, then I cut off the bucky cap neck and glued it and sculpt it on to the venom figure since the original neck had bad articulation, then I mixed gloss white with gloss french blue from model masters until I got the desired color, after it just painted the whole figure blue and painting all the details like the emblem and venom's green salyba that's made out of hot glue, and at the end spraying the figure with matte finish by krylon. 1. Finish painting the joints, the black jars witht the bright blue.
2. I think blue would have been the better choice for painting the spider symbol lines. Again, the black doesn't match with the rest of the body, and it's innacurate to the source material.
I think a darker blue with light blue highlights would be more game accurate, but it looks pretty good with the solid blue as well.
1-The spaces on the spider are black since if I did them blue they would fade in with the black I just wanted the spider to stand out but now that I see it I might as well do it since it might look a little cooler.
2. There is some paint rub and I also ran out of blue paint that I mixed but I will finish them later.
And for painting it with a darker blue I did thought of that but decided against it since the natural light gives the muscles some definition.
Thanks for the critique and I will try some of this tips out in the future.
