This was a commission for a mezco style Red X. Did a good bit of experimenting with resin and such to make the chest plate, a couple of the heads, the belt and various nuts and pieces. Unfortunately, my client stopped responding to emails, so this guy will likely be going up on ebay soon. This is the second client who has bailed out halfway through a Red X commission. I generally try to avoid taking any sort of deposit on commissions. It's burned me a couple of times, but I have a full time job, and a family, so I always warn my clients that it can take some time to get these knocked out. I never want to rush a custom and have that reflect on the work. I try to keep an honor system, and try to keep communication going. I'd rather someone say "hey, I decided I don't want this anymore, but thanks anyway" than have them just stop responding. I've had some amazing clients over the years, but there have been a few of these too. It's really frustrating when these things happen, but unfortunately, it does happen.
