Man-E-Faces (Masters of the Universe) Custom Action Figure
This project was in response to a challenge from another kitbasher who saw a WIP of my Faker custom... (I had this idea that Faker and Man-E-Faces were meant to be arch enemies). I thought Mysterio's triple-face was too good to pass up as a base figure, but this needed a lot of mod to get a decent Man-E out of it. Used XMC Stealth Angel's arms and legs (had to be reinforced with screws). Then I cut apart an original battered Man-E-Faces to get his helmet and the robot face, which I glued onto the Mysterio head after I disc-sanded off that dreadful baby face. For Man-E's human face and monster face, I preferred to keep the faces that were already on Mysterio and simply paint them. Not sure if Man-E- ever really had hair so I ignored it and just painted over it in his skin tone vs drawing attention to it. All his skin tone is kinda orange-ish b/c the original figure and 2002 figures are VERY orange... if you have them, you will see what I mean. I figure it's b/c Man-E isn't quite human... he's some kinda of camouflage mutant. I also sculpted some rock-hard abs and chest and back armor/muscles on him, then glued the remainder of an imaginext skeleton helmet (see my Skeletor custom description) to his chest for some bone armor and a voice changer. Overall I wasn't sure about the size of the helmet... it's a little big but once I got it all painted I was pleased w the result. In the photo story for these 3 figures I am having Man-E temprarily defeat Skeletor after spying on him. Skeletor vows revenge... (and thus creates Faker.... to be continued!) Please wait... |

To my knowledge, Man-E-Faces was a good guy, although not always...
he was originally a bully that had to be turned to good by He-Man.
Also, he had some problems w/ Beast Man, as his monster-form was
susceptible to Beast Man's control...
