So, since I was not really fond of the Public Enemies figure of Superman that Mattel did produce (the overly tanned skin, the lack of detail on the trunks and boots, the mismatched colors of the upper torso, and the lack of paint on the belt loops), I decided that I should make a better DC Universe Classics Public Enemies Superman.
So, in order to do this figure, I took a DC Universe Classics Clash in the Cosmos Superman figure, and used the boil and pop method to remove his head. Next, I used my Dremel to sand down the ball joint attached to the Superman figure's neck into a cylindrical post. Once the cylindrical post was formed, I next used my Dremel to partially hollow out the head of a DC Universe Classics Public Enemies Superman figure. Next, I mixed up a small batch of Milliput and jammed it into the newly formed cavity inside the head, and, while the Milliput was still soft, I jammed the cylindrical post attached to the neck of the Superman figure into the Milliput to create a small hole in the center of the head cavity and let it dry. Next, I test fit the head onto the neck, and satisfied with how the head and neck fit together, I set them aside and started repainting the head with Testors Acryl Peach for the skin and Testors Model Masters Flat Black for the hair and eyebrows. When the paint dried, I applied two generous coats of Flat Clear to the head. When the Flat Clear had finally dried, I glued the head in place atop the neck post. With the new head now attached, I glued a new symbol onto his chest (the symbol was made by hand at a larger size, and then photocopied and shrunk to proper size), and TA-DA...a better version of the DC Universe Classics Public Enemies Superman!!!
