Rachel Summers came from a dark future. She joined the X-Men and gained access to some of the Phoenix force. When most of the X-Men went MIA, she helped form Excalibur with Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Meggan, and Captain Britain.
The base body is Wasp, with hands and feet from Emma Frost. The head is Black Widow. I wanted the hair to be comic accurate, so I scalped J Jonah Jameson, and added a braid from Shatterstar. The spikes are made from plastic tie tops. For the costume, I wanted it to be shiny like a dominatrix's. I painted red over the black base, then metallic grey, and finally clear red.
