Hi all. Thanks for looking! This is my repaint of the 2014 TASM2 figure from Marvel Legends Infinite Series. I bought this figure as a placeholder until the Mafex figure released, and then left it in a bin for years. I decided I wanted to bring this figure to life.

The first thing was the head. I hated that horrible head sculpt that Hasbro released and I’d be willing to bet that it was a recycled sculpt from an old ML figure. So in keeping with the spirit of “brilliant but lazy,” I decided to pop the head off the old Street Fighting Spider-Man from the Spider-Man Classics figure line. I thought this head was a waaaay closer representation of the TASM2 mask than the first head. All I did to the head was cut down the excess “frames/wings” from around the eyes to more closely match the film and repainted it. On top of that, I included an Andrew Garfield head also painted by me.

Next was the hands. Nothing necessarily wrong with the ML hands, but they were rather minimal in variety (I’m also spoiled with import figures haha). I took a matching set of red wrist pegs and fitted them to the figure’s arms. Next I took hands from a bootleg Mafex Spider-Man Homecoming figure and painted them to match and fitted to the pegs. Also added webshooters from Mafex TASM2!

After that, a dark red and blue repaint with a gunmetal gray wash applied to the webs and a set of resultped/repainted feet soles and he’s good to go!
