Reflecto was originally a mysterious new super-hero that was revealed to be Superboy possessed by the spirit of Ultra Boy. Later the Time Trapper recreated Reflecto as a new and separate individual, with powers to reflect attacks back on his attackers. The fictional character named Reflecto first actual appearance was in Adventure Comics 354, March 1967. This first appearance was as a memorial statue of deceased Legionnaire in the titled story "Adult Legion". The storyline would place Reflecto and the Legion in the far future as adults.
Reflecto's first appearance in action was in the DC Comics series Legion of Super-Heroes-#277 The man Who Chained The Earth!, July 1981.
