This is, I believe, the figure that took me the most time to build, model and paint. I had this MOTUC Battle Cat that I found used and in decent conditions on ebay. It had no armor but I was stunned by the articulations (for instance, I do own a MOTUC well kept Battle Cat as well and I enjow keeping it along my MOTUC He-Man). Well, some years ago I painted that tiger in orange and black to match the giant tiger fought in that famous episode in the Fist of the North Star manga and anime (which I enormously love), but got bored after a bit of her and was thinking about what building with it next. I do love giant robots as well, so I decided - about two years ago I believe - to build one of Mazinger Z worst enemies: archduke Gorgon, which is half preatorian half tiger. It took me a while to cut the Marvel Legends Hercules figure in half just under the belt to preserv the rotation capabilities and to build a believable “back” on the tiger to insert it. The next step was to vuild a good head. I decided to use a ko Mezco Punisher shouting face, which I partially sculpted building a beard and adding a helmet (sorry but don’t remember where I took it from). I added two removable shoulder pads I had and built the belt, cutting some soft plastic. the cape is also homemade. The sword is a repaint mcfarlane Witcher’s and the whip is from a Kayodo Revoltech Uighur action figure. I painted it almost 100% ising Citadel and Tamiya acrylic colors. Please wait... |
