This one took forever. Actor William Marshall gave a incredible performance as Daystrom and I always wanted to honor him with a figure. But he had a very unique face and it was tough to find a head that could pass for his likeness. I wound up shrinking down an old The Rock WWE head and sculpting some hair. Turned out ok. Then I mashed up a Playmates Harry Kim (Voyager) torso with Q's legs and arms from his Starfleet uniform. That worked out well to capture Marshall's tall, athletic physique.

Tbh, outside of the head sculpt, the biggest pain in the a** was getting the paint color right on his jumpsuit. If you watch the Star Trek TOS episode "The Ultimate Computer," Daystrom's uniform color shifts depending on the lighting. Sometimes it looks blue, sometimes lavender, other times purplish. After many blends (and repaints), I finally landed on a color I could live with. He's ok for now, but may revisit some of the details later.
