Helena Bertinelli witnesses her family's murder (as a child, or college student, depending on the comic) and then decides to avenge her family as the Huntress. That's not all she does, though -- finding out about the crimes her father committed leaves her feeling responsible, and determined to save who she can and end organized crime in the city.

I got some DC Superhero Girls dolls cheap at a yard sale and decided to turn them into characters I liked... (sadly they are super hard to work with because the plastic connecting their heads to their bodies is very hard and just stretched when I tried to boil and pop).

For Huntress, I used the collar thing that Wonder Woman had to put a wire frame on for shoulder pads, so I could give her her big shoulder pads without freezing her arm movement. Then I created her shoulder pads, wrist guards, holster, and mask with apoxie and I dremelled her tiara off and smoothed out the result with apoxie. I repainted her face but tried to match the base tone. She doesn't have the knee pads that Helena Bertinelli does when drawn by Cully Hamner, because DC Superhero Girls dolls already have disproportionately long calves and I didn't want to make them look even visually longer.
