Why I made him: Intense nostalgia for the 1992 Toy Biz figure.

How I made him: 2015 3-pack Vision. Paint stripped using drug store q-tips and nail polish remover. Belt made of Citadel green stuff, basecoated with Citadel spray paint and finished with Model Master acrylic.

What worked: Sculpting the belt onto a spare figure first. Sculpting in layers. Making seams by cutting the belt all the way through, gently sanding the edges, and gluing it back together. Using an airbrush for metallic paint.

What I learned: I could have removed the belt from the spare figure and put it on Iceman using just the seam in front, instead of adding one on the side. I've heard Winsor and Newton brush cleaner would be a better choice for paint stripping on the hard plastic, too.
