This custom is a labor of love. I’ve always liked the character. Cal Rankin was kind of a jerk at first but his battle with the Super-Adaptoid was one of my favorite stories. Making this stretched my fledgling skills. Adapting the Savage Dragon and Street Fighter parts to fit Marvel Legends and adding the DCUC Hawkman wing assembly were no simple feat. I carved a groove in the back to attach the bulky wing assembly (even now I’m making another custom with a newly designed wing setup) was not pleasant. His balance is satisfactory. All hand painted. Head sock and visor sculpted with Aves.
