This was the figure that got me to start working on custom figures again. I've been paining miniatures, for the last 10 years, before that I did custom figures as a teenager. Something about this Rat kings factory paint job just began to irritate me, until I finally decided to fix it. now I'm back into custom figures but I only really feel inclined to do TMNT stuff as of now.
He is a 100% repaint. I started with grey spray primer. then use multiple layers of acrylic miniature paint. my goal is to bring out the natural detail that was hidden in these classic tmnt figures. I've always felt the sculpts were incredible, but the whole oy line had a very basic paint job.
