Superman (1940's Paramount Pictures, Max Fletcher Studios Animated Design Style) was made using a DC Direct "Through the Ages" Superman action figure which is very much based on the animated design. The strapped blue leggings were sanded down and then the belt and boots were painted red. The original "S" Shield chest logo was removed and replaced with a decal of the Fleischer styled "S" version.  Please wait... |

Although the DC Direct figure lacks good articulation, it's simplicity lends itself well to the animated look.

Here is an attempt at packaging. Done on Photoshop, I stuck to adopting original 1940's art, like the animation title lettering and movie theater poster for the backside.
