Hey there, Realmers. It’s me, ya boi.

I know the new No Way Home figure is all the rage in Marvel Legends, but I wanted to bring an older, subpar figure to life. I give you the 2014 Andrew Garfield “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” ML figure, fully repainted with extra hands and heads.

There isn’t many redeeming qualities to this figure out of the box. From only two sets of hands, the recycled head from an older comic-style figure, feet that look like Rob Liefeld drew them, no webshooters, and those horrific butterfly joints, this figure was a sad representation of arguably the best big screen Spidey suit.

So we start with the heads. I took the stock head and hollowed it out with a Dremel, then heated it and flattened it to make the loose mask accessory. Then I took the head from the Craneking TASM2 figurine and fitted it to the ML figure. Next, I cloned the Marvel Select TASM1 head for the NWH head and painted it, complete with stubble. Then I took a TASM2 custom 3D printed head from VMYTOY (check him out on IG) and painted it up. Both heads fitted to the figure.

Next, I had a spare Mafex TASM2 figure and cut the web shooters off and glued them to the ML figure. Next, I took the wrist joints and fitted them to the figure and added hands from a KO Mafex Homecoming Spidey. Lastly, I replaced those ugly, flat feet from the stock figure and fitted some feet from an old Toybiz classics figure that looked more “boot-like” to have something more proportionate. Lastly, a full repaint.

I used Folkart Engine Red and Indigo Night, plus a metallic white for the mask eyes and a custom blend for the webs. Then I used a custom flesh tone and painted the eyes for the unmasked heads. Sure, this may still have nothing on the newer version, but I’m pretty happy with how he’s come to life from the old 2014 version. Lmk what you think! Thanks :)
