This is basically the same update I made to my Kor figure. I posted a decent (if sloppy) Kang the Klingon figure back in May 2022 using a silicone rubber mold of a Mego Kang head and repainted a Koloth body. The baldric was made from fabric. I always wanted to try again with better tools.

So now I made a new Kang figure based design cues from Welandian Works. This time, I scanned the Mego Kang head using a 3D scanner, and edited in slicer software to make it Playmates 5-inch figure scale. I used the upper body from my 2022 attempt, but I followed Welandian's idea and used legs from a Playmates TOS figure. I used Kirk's legs, to be specific. Welandian made boots for their figure, but I'm not super skilled in sculpting, so I used legs from a Playmates Jem'Hadar figure, which already looked like boots. It worked out great!

To finish it off, I scanned and printed a belt from a Worf action figure.

Thanks to Welandian for the inspiration! Happy with how it turned out.
