Like many, I thought it would be cool to have a new Marvel Legends black suit Tobey Spider-Man. I waited almost a year for one of these figures to come in from that No Way Home wave. So I was really glad that I got the 3 pack when it was originally announced.

I started out trying to sand the spider symbol since it is different between the red suit and the black suit. Trying to sculpt it proved very challenging. This was the best that I was able to accomplish.
I did use the left closed fist from the Civil War 3 pack Spider-Man and then a modded hand from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 for a right open hand.
I wanted to take him apart and sand some of the areas and do the Rit synthetic dye. I also did the shoulder/butterfly joint mod so he can move more. However, his right shoulder joint did screw up and get warped while removing and needed to have a new one created.
I did go over with a layer of black after the dye then a very light dark blue wash. However, this was when I was able to see that the dye and paint work differently depending on the plastic. So... when I first did it, it looked great. Very subtle blue like in the movie but now it is more seen. It's fine since it is just for my personal collection.
I did rework some silver and made it a little dark.
