Character:

Nick Masters was the anchor of his own extreme sports network, Master Vision, on the early 2000’s cgi Action Man cartoon. He popped up frequently, providing sports commentaries during events.

Design:

Black suit, red shirt. The fantastic Christopher Reeves head by StarWarsGeek buffs up Nick Masters a bit, but the hair is perfect. Now that I’ve started using equally fantastic Marauder suit bodies, I couldn’t bring myself to sacrifice one on this bland character. So Nick Masters uses up one of the not-so-great The Dark Knight Bruce Wayne bodies from the fodder pile.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The head is a custom cast.

The arms were sculpted by someone at Mattel apparently unfamiliar with arms, as they had almost no bend at the elbows- locked in a straight position that would be painful. I cut the arms at the sculpted elbows and repositioned them to look naturally bent. The sculpting on the arms was so bad- the forearms aren't even the same length as each other.

The sculpting the suit jacket was also poor. Although Mattel nicely sculpted in the unbuttoned position to it would interfere with leg movement, the “skirt” part of the jacket was much too short. I extended it.

At some point I extended the legs to fit the shins’ proportions. But this made the figure too tall overall, so I shorted them again.
