After a long day at work, imagine coming home, turning on the tv to a news flash, "Planet Smash Imminent, Hours In Counting". A world wide news spread of the asteroid en route to abolish Terra1: Earth. Maybe hours, possibly...a day? This have to be the custom that would just haveta get done. Hellz yeah! It's the Hellcat! At a time like this, what else could possibly be more urgent of an under taking?!
This Panther Prowl Catwoman base figure already had curves in all the right places, so just resculpted her head/hair, replaced her hands with claw-like ones (Darkchylde Ariel) and added toe-nails on the feet, cut from clamshell. Elbow & knee joints have also been added for better articulation. Base color with white, and at least 6 layers of yellow, hand-painted. Prefer using white as base coat rather than silver (in this case). It's a tad bit more work, but the results gives the yellow a cleaner finish, a more pure color. If Jin Saotome has taught us anything about custom figures, it's the importance of cleanliness in paint apps. Having smooth applications, even tone and making the colors pop really adds to the dimension of a figure. Not to mention, it creates a standard to strive for when working on the overall paint finish. And gets a li'l better with each try.
