After watching all season of blade the series, in about 3 days, and then the 3 movies, I felt the urge to create a Blade figure. Despite of my love for comics, in the place where I live they don’t publish Blade, but I search about him every now and them on the web, and saw his appearance in Spider man cartoons, I used to have the action figure about that appearance, but it was stolen by the maid.
Anyways, I wanted to create the ultimate Blade, and my main influences were the movies.
So when it came to select the base figure, I didn’t think twice before I pick Bobby Lashley.
Bobby is not between Snipes and Sticky, he is Snipes plus Sticky, lol
I decided to go for the deluxe figure, mainly because of the leg articulation, since regular figure, can’t even lift the legs 90 degrees, maybe not even 45, lol.

Unluckily I didn’t read twice while buying the figure on a website, and thought I was making a great deal for such low price, and got a tiny deluxe build'n brawl figure.
I decided to customize it anyways.

Now, I needed to get the figure hands capable of holding weapons, I mean, Blade without his blades? That’s like Mickey Mouse without his ears, and speaking of the Mouse, Disney’s Jane father, from the Tarzan movie (one of my favourite Disney movies by the way), had the perfect hands for my tiny build and brawl figure.

So I swapped hands, and used some epoxy to fill the gaps, then painted the hands and legs black, his tattoos were mainly inspired in the series, since the figure is small, and lacked space for me to go in many details.

The sword was originally from a highlander the animated series Ramirez figure and it was changed in order to resemble a katana sword, and painted silver, the weird bladed weapon was from a Lunatica figure from X-Men 2099, I used it cause sort of looks like a glaive, and the crossbow was made by me with help from my girlfriend, with a projectile from a Secret Weapon Force Colossus figure, and the red plastic was a cover from a Chocolate powder box.

The sword and cross bow were painted it with silver Nail Polish, that's right Nail Polish, it give a really good color for metal weapons, doesn't it, but beware that it's very thick, so don't use it to paint where the figures are gonna grab the item.
