Note: The paint job reflects the 2 Player color scheme, not her original colors. A boomerang-wielding cat-girl that first appeared in SNK's 1994 Neo Geo arcade game Samurai Shodown 2 (original Japanese title Shin Samurai Spirits: Haohmaru Jigokuhen). Cham Cham is a member of an indigenous South American tribe that resides in a rain forest known as "Green Hell" (circa 1789 A.D.). After losing the Tanjil Stone, the twin of the Palenke Stone that Shiro Tokisada Amakusa appropriated for his own use in Samurai Shodown 1, Cham Cham sets out to recover both sacred orbs from the demon-possessed Shinto priestess Rashoujin Mizuki. She is accompanied in this task by a bare-arsed ape, Paku Paku (who is, unbeknownst to Cham Cham, actually her older brother, Tam Tam, having had his physical form changed, as divine punishment, for failing in his quest to recover the Palenke Stone in Samurai Shodown 1). Cham Cham's boomerang is named "Yok Mok Muk" and her fighting style is a combination of the traditional martial arts of her people and imitations of jungle cat mannerisms. When she's not embroiled in SNK fighting mayhem, Cham Cham enjoys stuffing her face with bananas and experiencing natural electroshock therapy (her favorite activity is playing with electric eels). Materials: Newsprint, Kleenex, cardboard from a potato chip box, white/hot glue, wire twist ties, cat hair (no animal was harmed in acquiring it), gloss nail polish, and acrylic paint. Dimensions*: (*The dimensions given for these figures are approximations, as the heights/widths can vary considerably, depending on how the joints are positioned.) (CHAM CHAM) 7.2 cm/2.8 in. x 3.0 cm/1.2 in. (highest point x widest point) (PAKU PAKU) 2.5 cm/1.0 in. x 2.2 cm/0.9 in. (highest point x widest point) Articulation: (CHAM CHAM) Thirty-one points total: Neck (2), shoulders (2), elbows (4), wrists (4), mid-torso, waist, tail (9), hips (2), knees (4), and ankles (2). (PAKU PAKU) Seventeen points total: Neck, shoulders (2), elbows (4), wrists (2), hips (2), knees (4), and ankles (2). Time: Approximately five days; I started this project on 4/29/08 and finished it on 5/3/08. ![]() |
