Space Ghost (Space Ghost) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:1402
Name:Space Ghost
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Space Ghost
Creator:VariablePenguin
Date Added:December 21, 2006
Base Figure:DCSH Superman
Height:6.20 inches
I've been meaning to do this figure for a long time ever since I saw the DCSH Superman figure. I scuplted on the mask, chest emblem, powerbands, and belt buckle and I scuplted over Supe's boot cuffs. As you can tell, I painted every last bit of him. I never really watched the original cartoon from Hanna Barbara, but I watched "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" a while back and I read the comic that recently came out from DC and I love the look the character. I think his cape in the cartoon was yellow on both sides, but the comic has it have a black exterior like Robin's so I went with that look.

Okay, I fixed his head. You can see in the pics on the main page for him.

I might adjust the eyes a little before I put the sealant on to keep that freaking white from chipping in the joints like it is.

...make it more square!
Just messin' with ya, looks fine. Although maybe the eyes could be more triangle-shaped

Okay. I think I fixed the head problem. And now that I did, darn did it suck before.
I just Dremeled and sanded it down until it looked about right.
This look right to y'all?
Now he actually seems to have eyebrows and facial expression.

actually yea, black anarchis heads are nicely casted. I bought 27 of em...^_^ some of em have little holes due to air bubbles, but nothing big and can be easily done. I'd wait for the auctions he puts up, you save more on that....

Here's a photoshopped picture I did:
Space Ghost is such a bad bum he doesn't have a logo on his chest. He just has a picture of himself.

Okay. I'll give it a whirl. I'll probably have to rip his cape off first though.

get some of that matte acryl sealer from my tutorial. I only use it on light colors like yellow or WHITE. it should work wonders on your custom. ITS NOT GLOSSY! so don't worry. Somtimes you can't even scratch it off with your finger nail. Try it out.

The only problem I'm having is the paint keeps chipping in jointed areas like under his arms and shoulders.

Yeah Batman may have been a good choice, but then I'd have to get a Batman for just his head.
