Seen a few cool symbiote customs recently so figured I'd make my bid for symbiote hall of fame with Venomosaurus Rex - a T-Rex possessed by the Venom symbiote as seen recently in Wolverine #71. The figure began life as a Jurassic Park T-Rex. First I removed the figures original teeth which were far too small and regular, then wedged the jaws open wider at the back to allow me to sculpt the much larger, jagged teeth that are a Venom trademark. The tongue, like the tendrils, were sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt around wire armature. Painted with Citadel paints. Figure stands 7 inches tall and measures 15 inches in length.

Yes its the Junior Rex. I bought a job lot of almost every Jurassic Park figure and had intended to use the big Rex as he is probably to scale with 6 inch ML figures and resell the others. But big Rex was much bigger than anticipated in terms of shipping weight and size limits as I am auctioning him on a website. Not to mention he has trouble standing. Then the Junior one was the only Dino that arrived with his dino damage missing - the removeable chunk that makes him look like he has been bitten by another Dino. In light of that I thought he'd never get a good price resale so used him. They all have squishy bodies though which makes them quite tricky to sculpt onto. While working on this one had though about maybe using the big Rex head on a Pitt BAF body to do a Venom/Rex hybrid?
