When a Microman Predator figure arrived in the mail from an a website seller with a shattered knee and arm, I decided to both repair the toy, and make it into something new. After supergluing the two fractured joints (successfully too - the figure is super sturdy, and still articulated), began the following process of conversion from an AvP movie predator, to the masked, bronzed armor version: -Removed partial predator mask from figures shoulder -Reduced the size of the wrist blades, super glued them in place -Affixed the mini-faceplate to the figures head, sculpted the rest of the mask around it -Painted the dreadlocks black with silver holder -Painted all armor and weapons black, then dry brushed on gunmetal Gray -Painted all armor and accessories with Citadel "Flesh Wash", my standby rust-effect paint. -Detailing with Black Citadel paint, and Vallejo Black Wash -Sealed with Vallejo Matte finish varnish -Figure base-stand was a DC Direct figure base, covered with hobby plaster. After it dried, I sanded it, painted it black, and dry brushed it with 3 different shades of blue-gray. -Sealed the base with Krazyglue-superglue, then a spray sealant coat of Citadel Matte finish. The 3rd image also shows the repainted 3.75" Hot Toys Warrior ALIEN snap kit I have along side my predator. ![]() |

For whatever reason, this figure is just fine. It can be played with fairly roughly, and it's limbs never pop off. The only exception was the head on a single peg. I just super-glued it down, as it was ball-socket jointed at the neck base anyhow.
