I think the hot toys 1/6 have super-close joints, that hide the joints, which is harder to do with smaller figures, where the gap is bigger between hte joints. there was a clever Bruce Lee one that had real ball joints as the shoulders, about 2.5/3 of the shoulder was sunken into the body, and it could still look as though it was a simple swivel.

The figure sculpt looks pretty rough, like has a lot of cellulite or something, but a seamless body is always something worth pursueing. What kind of range do the joints have? Generally any kind of rubber/latex sheath is relatively limited in motion, as one has to be careful not to tear it while posing (see some of Hot Toys sixth scale figures with such bodies, for example).
