Inhumanoids Tendril (Inhumanoids) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:16148
Name:Inhumanoids Tendril
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Inhumanoids
Creator:Hammer of the Gods
Date Added:July 15, 2009
Base Figure:12" Rotocast Hulk and Jakk's Wrestler
Height:13.00 inches
I finally finished tendril and now have all the major inhumanoids monsters, updated in a millenial style. Tendril was made from a 12" rotocast hulk's upper body, a 12" jakk's wrestler from from the waist down, a tail from the fff baf and arms from a vintage tendril. The whole body was sculpted head to toe. When he was complete I felt like something was missing, like he needed more edge - so I added spines on his back, shoulders and head to give him a cactus vibe. The spines look vicious but are completely flexible and soft to the touch so they they won't snap off or poke an eye out. I'm really proud of this set because I'm pretty sure I'm the only customizer on the planet to tackle these characters. They really brought out the 12 year old kid in me. Hasbro, whenever you are ready to reboot this figure line, call me up. For more pics of all three inhumanoids, check out the darkwolf's fury thread at the fwoosh forums.

Ben - I just sent you an email. The page you built looks awesome. Anyone still reading this thread should know that Boskoes updates on the Earth Corps inspired all the Inhumanoids work I've done. The ideas had been floating in my mind for decades but the Boskoes figures are what lit a fire under my @ss.

Good call - I need to fix that gap. Its probably about an hours worth of work but I'm feeling too lazy to jump on it right away. I'll get her done though - with so much effort put in, seems a shame to have that be a detracting element.

Totally wicked--makes the original look like complete rubbish in comparison. The gap in the waist joint is pretty noticeable from the back (too much weight in the upper body for it to handle maybe?), but other than than, top tier work all the way.

I had 2 of the 3 main Monsters. I can never remember which, they went into storage when I got them on clearance and then my Mom got rid of 95% of my stuff at a garage sale - I think I had Tendril and D-compose but I'll never know now. I still have my Magnacore and one of the rock guys. Maybe Inhumaniods can be the next big budget summer blockbuster/piece of crud.

Thanks all. AJ, I had a few of the monster and Earth Corps. figures as a kid and "wanted" them to be as cool as my imagination made them. I had know idea then that one day I'd be making figures the that I could only dream of as a kid. I get a huge kick out of having a childhood fantasy realized over 20 years later.
