Piledriver is a member of the Wrecking Crew. Brian Calusky gained his abilities by sharing the Wrecker's Asgardian-derived powers. Piledriver and the Crew have been involved in the original Secret Wars and have joined the Hood's criminal army.
Piledriver was made from Doc Samson's body. I filled in the lower torso with plastic and rubber to make it fit better with the stomach area. While Samson's hands are fine, they weren't big enough (Piledriver has oversized hands), so I swapped them with SMC Sandman. The boots are from ML Cyclops. I originally planned to use the complete ML Angel head, but he looked too 'handsome' for a super-villain! I replaced the nose and lower face with a Hydra Soldier to give him a more 'rugged' look. Finally, label tape for costume detailing and a lot of dry-brushing completed this figure.
It took me a long time to complete the Wrecking Crew, compiling all the right pieces. I made them consecutively, and wanted their bodies to be similar in height and bulk, but yet different. In the end, I'm happy that they each have a unique look. Thanks for looking! Photos by Nara.
